A leak in the Hawkcraig area yesterday (Wednesday) evening left some residents without water.
Other homes had a drop in water pressure or dirty or discoloured water.
Iain Fleming, from Aberdour Community Council, had posted: "An engineer has attended this leak but was unable to make the repair on attendance.
"A further request for a squad of engineers to attend and make the repair has been arranged.
"If you live locally it may be best practice to store water in case the repair involves a water outage."
This afternoon a spokesperson for Scottish Water said: "The burst in the Hawkcraig area was reported to us yesterday evening and repaired this morning.
