Abbot Point in north Queensland is firming up as the likely site for a launch facility for small rockets, as the state looks to support the space industry.
Deputy Premier and Minister for Infrastructure and State Development Steven Miles announced on Thursday that Abbot Point was the frontrunner for the facility, saying it ticked several boxes.

âAbbot Point has long been considered as one of the locations for a rocket launch site in Queensland,â Mr Miles said.
