SARANAC LAKE — It’s been a year and a day since people danced in the streets in Saranac Lake. The occasion was the village’s annual St. Patrick’s Day parade on Main Street and Broadway, and in the 12 months since then, there hasn’t been much dancing, or any such public gathering for that matter.
Most people had already heard a lot about the coronavirus by March 14, 2020, but always heard about it being elsewhere. On that day, New York City had 183 confirmed positive cases and logged its first confirmed COVID-related death.
