A trio of Houston Texans players are gaining professional experience this month through the NFLPA's 2021 Externship program.
Michael Thomas, Brennan Scarlett and Eric Murray are among the 52 NFL players gaining valuable experience at 24 top organizations across the country. Thomas will be working with NFL Players Inc., Murray with The Players' Tribune and Scarlett with Target Accelerators. Externships run through the end of March and will be fully remote experiences due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
"We believe that this year's virtual Externship experience will provide our player members with a unique opportunity to broaden their knowledge, skillset and network in new, innovative ways that will serve them well during life after football," NFLPA Player Manager Connor Ford said.
