Crates of sun-kissed mangoes are making their way to the icy cold isles of fruits and vegetables in the country’s supermarkets. They are a sight for the sore or rather foggy eyes this season, slapped with an exorbitant price tag, right now, which is sure to drop in the coming, hotter months.
But what we are deeming as exorbitantly pricey right now, during a quick visit to the grocery store, while panic-buying everything we can lay our eyes on (once again), is nothing compared to the prices of some of the world’s most expensive fruits,
including mangoes, that have been sold for in the past.
