Before Mitchell Sveinbjornson became one of the numbers, he was a loving father with a well-paying job in a small Saskatchewan town.
He is one of 397 people believed to have died of an overdose in 2020, according to the latest report from the Saskatchewan Coroners Service that indicates the number of fatalities may have doubled since 2018.
