It was short, simple and peaceful. The churches of Camden — Baptist, Congregational, Methodist, Episcopal, Catholic — rang their bells at 4 p.m., Dec. 24.
A gesture of hope and goodwill in challenging times, the churches rang their bells in unison, and in conjunction with the lighting of the beautiful Camden Star atop Mt. Battie.
The participating churches include Chestnut Street Baptist Church; First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ; John Street United Methodist Church; Our Lady of Good Hope Roman Catholic Parish; and St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
Together, they wish all in our local community, and the wider world, blessings of hope, peace, joy and love.
