Today, a few more on Gina Raimondo’s personal side.
I remember being surprised when I first sat down with her for a one-on-one in the governor’s office. She had an image as stern, so I expected that. The same “stern” behind her telling everyone to “knock it off” over bad pandemic behavior.
So I asked her if she was a humorless policy wonk.
It got a laugh.
“Almost every day, people will say to me some version of, ‘You’re so much nicer in real life.’”
