A crash involving three vehicles — two 18-wheeler trucks and a car — on Interstate 35 has led to lane closures near the Slaughter Lane exit, Austin fire officials said Wednesday.
Austin fire officials said they got a call regarding the crash around 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday. Officials said one person suffered non-life threatening injuries from the crash.
One of the two 18-wheeler trucks caught fire, but the other two vehicles were not damaged by the blaze, officials said.
Officials said the southbound lanes of the highway near the Slaughter Lane exit in South Austin are expected to be reduced down to one lane for the next several hours because of the crash.
