The milestone was reached on Saturday as part of the weekend’s ‘Grab a jab’ big weekend.
Simon Trickett, chief executive officer for NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire CCG said: “Delivering 1million vaccines is a fantastic achievement and is testament to the dedication and determination of our hardworking NHS staff, volunteers, partners and all those who have taken up their offer of a vaccine across the two counties.
“We’ve still got work to do to ensure that everyone over 18 can receive their vaccination in the coming weeks as we approach the proposed lifting of the final Government restrictions and we can get on with enjoying the summer.
