A lot of water under the Bertrand Rd Suspension Bridge

Bertrand Rd Suspension Bridge Trust president Peter Wilson and New Plymouth District Council councillor Colin Johnston chat about the history of the bridge.
There is a list of 166 spectacular bridges around the world that “few would probably cross without suffering a panic attack”.
One of these, says the website Dangerousroads.org, is the Bertrand Rd Suspension Bridge, which connects Huirangi and Tikorangi without having to go down the main road.
The website, which bills itself as one of the largest and most popular resources about roads and mountain passes, said the Bertrand Rd structure would be no good for anyone with Gephyrophobia (the fear of bridges) and Acrophobia (an extreme fear of heights).
