The Yadkin River Park got a little help from their friends with a recent $150,000 donation to go towards improvements at the park.
The Davidson County Commissioners donated $50,000 with a matching grant from Friends of Rowan to Tourism Recreation Investment Partnership in Davidson County for improvements to Yadkin River Park.

During the presentation of the check in March, the Friends of Rowan announced the organization would be donating an additional $50,000 towards the project in the future, bringing the overall total to $150,000.
"The Tourism Recreation Investment Partnership for Davidson County is thrilled by the generous contribution by the Davidson County Board of Commissioners and the contribution match through our partnership with Friends of Rowan. In addition to the generous contribution we received today, we are even more excited to announce that Friends of Rowan have committed to matching funds donated to Yadkin River Park between now and June 30," said Chris Phelps, executive director of TRIP.
