That’s when the South Shore resident took a gamble of his own.
Strongly encouraged by a relative, he tested to become a court officer in New York state. Even though he hadn’t a clue of what the job entailed.
“I had no idea what a court officer was. I had never been in a courthouse,” said Aronica.
It turned out to be a very good wager.
