LANSING - A year after opening Detroit Frankie's Wood Fired Brick Oven in a Delta Township strip mall, Frank Tignanelli is poised to bring his signature pizzas to Lansing — alongside a familiar collaborator.
This spring, Tignanelli plans to open a second eatery in a shared space with Good Truckin' Food, an offshoot of REO Town's Good Truckin' Diner. The partnership between Tignanelli and Good Truckin' owner Nick Sinicropi will take shape in a 3,000-square-foot building at 3135 S. Pennsylvania Ave., two miles south of Sinicropi's flagship restaurant.
Tignanelli's half of the business, Detroit Frankie’s Pizza & Deli, will serve up Detroit-style pizzas instead of the wood-fired creations his other location is known for. It will also include a small Italian-style market where customers can buy pasta, dough, sauce, olive oil and other items.
