A trial for a Christchurch man who allegedly murdered his neighboured, has entered its third day

31-year-old Tristan Locke denies murdering Mark Cowling in September last year, after a row about excessive noise.
New Zealand Herald reporter Kurt Bayer says the court heard from a detective who was with Locke after his arrest.
The detective relayed a series of comments Locke made while in custody.
The accused told the officer that he was "screwed", and that "the guy didn't deserve it".
Locke also told the detective he was intoxicated, and had been for the previous week.
