93-year-old woman dies in multi-alarm house fire, officials say

A 93-year-old woman is dead after a multi-alarm fire broke out in a Stoughton home early Saturday morning, according to fire officials.
Stoughton's assistant fire chief, Michael Carroll, says the fire started at about 3:45 a.m. on the second floor at 69 Grove St., and that crews called for a three-alarm response.Sign up for our Newsletters
Carroll says the initial reports were that two people were trapped inside the home, but the elderly woman ended up being the only person trapped.
