9 Detained Under Political Section 505(a) Released from Taung Kalay Prison, Hpa-An

The Military Council has announced the grant of amnesty to 2,153 prisoners under Section 505(a) of the Penal Code to commemorate Kason Full Moon Day, also known as Vesak Day, and 9 prisoners have been released from Taung Kalay Prison in Hpa-An, Karen State.
