SUVA, June 7 (Xinhua) -- Fiji's Ministry of Health has confirmed 83 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.
Fiji's Permanent Secretary for Health James Fong said the majority of these cases are from known clusters or areas already under containment or lockdown protocols around the capital Suva.
Fong said the cluster of greatest concern is at the Colonial War Memorial (CWM) Hospital where medical teams are going to great lengths to provide critical treatment without exposing themselves and their patients to the virus.
He said the hospital will become a full-time COVID-care facility.
