Vadodara: In its 75th anniversary year, Amul group’s annual turnover, including those of its member unions, has crossed Rs 53,000 crore ($7.1 billion).
Despite negative impact of the Covid-19 induced pandemic and its adverse effect on the dairy commodity markets, the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (Amul Federation) has registered turnover of Rs 39,248 crore in financial year 2020-21. Results of the apex body of the dairy cooperatives of Gujarat were declared on Tuesday during the 47th annual general meeting of GCMMF.
The federation had posted a turnover of Rs 38,542 crore in the previous financial year.
Country’s largest cooperative is now aiming to double its group turnover to Rs 1 lakh crore by the year 2025.
