Palm Beach Daily News
Seventy pounds of cocaine washed ashore Saturday in the 800 block of South Ocean Boulevard in Palm Beach, police say.
Police spokesperson Michael Ogrodnick said the incident remains "under investigation," and that police had yet to determine the point of origin of the packages. He said the street market value of the cocaine is approximately $850,000.
Ogrodnick said the department is working alongside federal partners on the investigation, but declined to comment on which agencies are involved. He explained that after proper lab testing, the cocaine will be destroyed in accordance with federal guidelines.
