When President Joe Biden took the stage in Cincinnati at a town hall moderated by CNNâs Don Lemon, he did so at a critical crossroads of his presidency.
At just over six months after taking office, the president has seen one of his major legislative priorities, the $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief bill, the American Rescue Plan, pass, has overseen a COVID-19 vaccination program which has seen nearly 50% of the U.S. population fully vaccinated and reached key agreements on sweeping infrastructure proposals â one of which would fix roads and bridges, replace lead pipes and enhance broadband internet, while another would include funding for paid family leave, child care, family tax breaks, education and an expansion of Medicare.
