5G near airports next year as December's the deadline to upgrade plane gear, ET Telecom

In November 2022, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) had directed mobile operators not to install any 5G sites in the 3300-3670 MHz band within 2.1 km of the runways at airports across the country. But it was meant to be a temporary measure till altimeters of aircraft were replaced.
