STAMFORD — Just having a phone conversation can be a challenge for Amy Nelson when her two children are home on a remote learning day.
In the background, you can hear the two Strawberry Hill School students — one in kindergarten, another a second grader — asking Nelson questions or trying to get her attention. It’s a microcosm of what Nelson’s life has been like this school year, in which her children attend class in person every other day, and follow along with their studies remotely on other days.
