The residents of Alahalli and adjoining areas of
Anjanapura ward woke up to a rude shock on Saturday morning. An earth mover was busy at work, removing 40 to 50 saplings planted along the
Alahalli Lake.
The
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) had selected the Alahalli Lake bund and an adjoining vacant land, a part of the burial ground, for planting around 5,000 saplings in October 2020.
