4 New Deaths, 103 Coronavirus Cases In Last Week In Northbrook

NORTHBROOK, IL — Like every other municipality in Illinois, the Village of Northbrook has been dealing with its own unique data points regarding the coronavirus. According to the Cook County Medical Examiner, 102 people have died due to COVID-19 in Northbrook since March 29. That marks four new deaths since Patch's last report on Jan. 14. For further comparison, there was one new death between Jan. 7-14. The most deaths in a single day since the pandemic began was four on Nov. 12 and Nov. 19.
As of Thursday, there have been 2,457 coronavirus-related cases in Northbrook, according to the Cook County Department of Public Health. That marks an increase of 103 cases since Jan. 14. For further comparison, there was an increase of 119 cases between Jan. 7-14. These numbers indicate an +22.4 percent change in confirmed cases over the last 14 days.
