4 found dead after welfare checks, suspect kills self in Mississippi near Alabama border: Report

Four people were found dead Tuesday afternoon in western Mississippi near the Alabama border during welfare checks, and a suspect in the deaths killed themselves after a pursuit with law enforcement, according to a report.
The four bodies were found Tuesday afternoon in Lauderdale County, Mississippi, after the sheriff’s office there received calls of people not showing up for work, WTOK reported.
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office could not be reached by AL.com to confirm the report.
Three of the bodies were discovered at a home on Jeffrey Acres Road, while the fourth was found in a home in Whynot.
