ZANESVILLE, Ohio — The third of three brothers accused in a March 1 shooting appeared Wednesday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court. 32-year-old Juan McConnell
(pictured) pleaded not guilty to more than 70 counts including charges of attempted murder, felonious assault, discharging a fire arm into a habitation and discharging a firearm across a roadway.
Two co-defedants, 32-year-old Jamarr McConnell and 29-year-old Terrel McConnell previously pleaded not guilty to the same charges. Jamarr McConnell was also indicted on one count of having a weapon while under disability.
The three men are accused of involvement in a March 1 shooting on Bates Street in Zanesville. The shooting victim, Robert Gladden, was taken to Genesis Hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm. He was treated and released the same day.
