THROUGHOUT his increasingly illustrious career, Steven Davis has tumbled record after record and reached milestone after milestone.
Already Northern Ireland’s record caps holder with a staggering 124 outings for the Green and White Army, next month, he could both match and break Peter Shilton’s British caps record of 125. They travel to Italy in World Cup qualifying on March 25 and then host Bulgaria in Belfast six days later.
He's now just 23 matches shy of 800 career appearances, and having only just turned 36 and still performing at a consistent, high-level week-in, week-out, few would bet against that tally ticking even higher.
