30 Tribal Leaders are Pressuring President Biden to Take a Stance Against Enbridge Line 5

Thirty Great Lakes region tribal leaders are pressuring President Joe Biden to speak out against the dangerous Enbridge Line 5 pipeline’s trespass on the Bad River Tribe’s land in northern Wisconsin. The tribal leaders representing 30 tribal nations sent a letter to the president on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024. The tribal leaders’ letter presses the U.S. government to weigh in: The Bad River Band should not be left to wage an existential fight against Enbridge and Canada while its trustee and treaty partner, the United States, remains on the sidelines.
