30,000 Acres Burned in Southwest Nebraska Wildfire; Volunteer Fire Chief Killed

A volunteer fire chief died Thursday evening while responding to a fire in southwest Nebraska. Emergency management teams said Friday afternoon the fire in Gosper and Furnas counties was still not contained.
