294 ex-MILF and MNLF members officially join the Philippine National Police (PNP) in a historic oath-taking and turnover ceremony. The recruits, part of the MILF and MNLF Recruitment Program, will undergo six months of field training before joining the force. Their entry into the PNP is covered by Republic Act 11054, allowing waivers for age, height, and educational requirements. This move is in line with the government's peace agreement with the MILF and aims to promote peace and sustainable development in the region.
