HINDI LIVINUS examines moves by chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, not only to oust Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, but also to end the reign of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state in 2023
There appears to be a consensus among political pundits that the rancorous primary election conducted by the Adams Oshiomhole-led National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress, prior to 2019 general elections, played a key role in the party’s loss of several states including Adamawa.
APC leaders in the state who had scores to settle with the former governor, Jibrilla Bindow, tried but failed to convince the party’s national leadership not to field the then incumbent governor.
