2022 Queer Art Walk Sometimes the stars align and your two best friends meet and M&M’s put the cookie in the candy. That’s also the feeling we get when Spokane’s monthly art celebration coincides with the first weekend of Pride Month, and First Friday gets to partner with the city’s third annual Queer Art Walk. In collaboration with Spokane Arts, 10 venues display visual art from local LGBITAQ+ artists. Take a stroll between the Chase Gallery, Trackside Studios, Kolva-Sullivan, Yes is a Feeling, Common Language Brewing, First Avenue Coffee, Locust Cider, the Gonzaga University Urban Arts Center (GUUAC), and the Symons Block to see photography, sculpture, mixed fiber arts, paintings, drawings and more. In addition to visual arts, Spectrum also hosts an open mic and live performance event at 7 pm in the GUUAC. The photo exhibit at Yes is a Feeling studio highlights the history of the local LGBITAQ+ community for curious newcomers and longtime supporters alike.
