Daytona Beach, FL - Tickets are now on sale for what is shaping up to be a race experience for the books. Starting Wednesday (June 9), race fans can purchase their tickets to the 64th running of NASCAR’s most prestigious event of the year, the Daytona 500. And this is definitely one of the most anticipated runnings of the Great American Race, as this is NASCAR’s first 500 to offer fully open frontstretch seating, expanded camping, hospitality and pre-race experiences since this year’s running, which limited fan attendance at the Daytona International Speedway. "The energy, excitement and sheer anticipation for the 2022 DAYTONA 500 is on a level that we haven’t seen in a long time," said Daytona International Speedway President Frank Kelleher. "Our fans are ready to get back to the race track for The Great American Race, as well as Speedweeks Presented By AdventHealth. Our team at the World Center of Racing is ready for their return, as well as new fans to visit and experience the pageantry of the DAYTONA 500." The 2022 Daytona 500 will also see the debut of NASCAR’s "Next Gen" car, which is a new car designed to give the drivers greater control. The Next Gen car will additionally put an emphasis back on race strategies, team personnel, and vehicle setups while returning the ‘stock car’ look to NASCAR.
