The City of Lloydminster will not be hosting the Saskatchewan Summer Games in 2021.
The Saskatchewan Games Council, the City and the Lloydminster 2020 Host Society have made the decision to cancel the games due to rising concerns surrounding COVID-19 in the province and country.
The Games were originally scheduled for July 26 to August 1, 2020, but were then moved to a tentative date of July 18 to 24, 2021. The decision to postpone the games by a year was made at the end of April.
