2021 Rising Stars: Hadi Mohammadi
Senior Research Scientist, Braskem
Working at Pittsburgh-based materials firm Braskem is Hadi Mohammadi's first job in the plastics industry. Mohammadi graduated from Iran's Amirkabir University of Technology with a Master of Science in polymer engineering and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a Ph.D. in polymer chemistry.
Following his master's, he worked with a group on a project related to crystallization of polypropylene. "That project got me really interested in plastics and motivated me to pursue my Ph.D. on crystallization of plastics and start a career in this field," he said.
Mohammadi has worked as a research specialist I and II. During his second year with Braskem, he was selected as one of the top-performing team members within the company's innovation and technology centers.
