LSU not only maintained its position atop the National TFRI, but strengthened its hold on the No. 1 spot. The Tigers received three different national-leading efforts this past weekend at the LSU Alumni Gold, headlined by
JuVaughn Harrison’s otherworldly long jump of 8.44m (27-8¼) that made him the sixth-best performer in collegiate history. Not to be outdone,
Noah Williams turned one lap in 44.30 to equal the 12th-fastest performer in collegiate history, while
Sean Burrell topped the 400H list at 49.12. Other notable performances were turned in by
Eric Edwards Jr. in the 110H (No. 5, 13.46),
Sean Dixon-Bodie in the triple jump (No. 7, 16.35m/53-7¾), as well as the 4×100 relay team (No. 2, 38.58).
