PARKER — Parker gained a new mayor and two new council members on Tuesday.
The newly elected officials include Mayor Andrew Kelly, Councilman Ronald Chaple and Councilwoman April Gibson, who are all set to serve their first terms in office.
"I'm amazed and I'm overwhelmed," Kelly said Tuesday after the votes were tallied. "I'm just so proud of the people of Parker for having enough confidence and faith in me to vote me mayor."
Kelly, 60, who retired as chief of the Parker Fire Department in July 2020 after 27 years, won the election with almost 60% of the votes. He beat out former Mayor Rich Musgrave, who served in the position for eight years.
