SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Good morning and happy New Years Eve! On the final day of what has been a year we will never forget we are tracking continued wet weather across the ArkLaTex as an area of low pressure continues to develop in central Texas. The potential for rain and thunderstorms will continue for the region until just before sunrise on New Years Day 2021 when our weather will start to improve. The weekend will start off chilly, but by Sunday afternoon temperatures should return to the 60s. Next week we are expecting pleasant weather through Wednesday when we are tracking another strong front that will bring more rain and storms to the region.
