“There are two types of aeration systems. The basic model, the cascading aerator, takes up water from underneath the surface and pushes it up, which causes oxygen to mix. However, this increases dissolved oxygen only to a certain depth, unlike the submerged aeration system. The number of aerators per lake will depend on the size and overall water quality. We are also considering cascading aerators for smaller lakes and submerged models for big water bodies,” informed the official.
