JOLIET, IL — Two people were killed around 2:45 a.m. Monday when the driver of a sedan missed a curve in the roadway on Jefferson Street near Raynor Avenue. The car slammed into a tree and split in half, according to a Joliet Police Department news release.
The Will County Coroner's Office announced that one of the victims has been identified as 31-year-old Jonathan Bundley of Chicago. The second fatality victim was William Burke III, a 55-year-old Chicago man, the coroner announced.
