ESTACADA, Ore. — Three young people died and two were injured in a crash Monday night near Estacada, the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office reported Tuesday.
The crash happened at 9:20 p.m. in the area of South Redland Road and South Springwater Road, near Milo McIver State Park.
A witness told sheriff's deputies that the driver of a black sedan appeared to lose control of the car and go into a spin. The sedan crossed the road's center line and crashed into an oncoming Ford F350 pickup truck.
Five teens, ages 14-18, were in the black sedan. Two passengers were pronounced dead at the scene. A third passenger was flown by medical helicopter to a hospital and was later pronounced dead. The fourth passenger, a 17-year-old, is being treated for unspecified injuries at a hospital.
