Police said two Massachusetts men were charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a disabled victim after reportedly shooting an elderly woman in the face with a paintball gun.Worcester police were called to the 800 block of Main Street Wednesday afternoon. Officers said the elderly female, who was using a walker, was shot in the face by someone wielding a paintball gun. Police said the victim's glasses were knocked off her face and her face was covered in yellow paint. Authorities said the victim, whose name was not released, was treated by first responders and did not suffer serious injuries.On nearby Queen Street, police said a male victim reported being shot by a paintball gun as a blue vehicle drove by him at a high rate of speed. Police said the second victim did not suffer serious injuries, but had visible bleeding and welts.Police said they issued an alert based on the description of the vehicle given to them by the witnesses, and a similar vehicle was pulled over a short time later. Worcester police officers said they spotted a black paintball gun in the rear of the F-150, and had a third victim who was shot by paintballs identify the suspects. Police said Sean Pinkham, 21, of Douglas and John Slater, 18, of Worcester, were both charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a disabled victim. Pinkham was also charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. They were both scheudled to be arraigned in court at a later date.
