A GRASSROOTS charity has firmly planted its place in the community after receiving a four-figure cash boost from an online retail giant.
Social inclusion charity Inverclyde Shed have benefited from a £5,000 windfall from the Amazon fulfilment centre in Gourock.
The Faulds Park team handed over the sum to help the group support the community during the continuing period of uncertainty due to Covid-19.
The Inverclyde Shed team will use the funds to continue their work alleviating loneliness.
Chairperson Bruce Newlands told of his delight over the donation.
He said: "Like all charities, our services have never been needed more than they are now.
