A MAN has been sentenced after causing more than £8,000 of damage to a room at his accommodation.
Scott Thick, 24, now of Carter Street, Sandown, admitted causing criminal damage at Fellowship House last August, Calverts Hotel in January, and to a police cell while he was placed in custody.
He re-appeared in front of Island magistrates on April 12, where he was given a 12-month community order, to include 20 rehabilitation days.
He must also pay compensation of £250.
At the previous court appearance, prosecutor, Ann Smout, said Thick had been seen by a staff member to cause damage to Fellowship House, after he had woken up and reported he had a dislocated shoulder.
