Pride AND JOY: A Ford Focus similar to the one Jenkins attacked, which had a personalised number plate
A WEST Cumbrian man who wrongly suspected his former girlfriend sprayed graffiti on his door took drastic action — by lobbing a brick at the car which was her “prized possession.”
Michael Jenkins, 22, then made matters worse by asking her new partner to persuade her to drop the charges.
At Carlisle Crown Court, a judge jailed the defendant after hearing that Jenkins had reacted to the woman’s decision to contact the police about the damage – which cost more than £5,000 to repair – by saying that she had “grassed” on him.
