Family donate £15,000 to hospital as a 'thank you' to staff
A FAMILY has donated £15,000 to their local hospital as a thank you to staff who provided ‘exemplary care’ for their baby.
Christina and Jack Lamb are part of the Lamb family behind Blackburn Chemicals and The George Lamb Charitable Trust.
Their daughter Sophia was born at Burnley General Teaching Hospital six weeks prematurely, just after the first lockdown was announced in March 2020.
The family commended the ‘hard work and dedication’ of the team at Lancashire Women’s and Newborn Centre, where Sophia was cared for in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) until she was well enough to go home.
