Aylesbury’s MP, Rob Butler, is ‘delighted’ that Thames Valley Police will receive £1.16m in tackling serious violence across the region.
The cash injection is part of a £35.5m investment towards Violence Reduction Units in police force areas across England and Wales.
Mr Butler, who became the town’s MP in 2019, said: “I am delighted that Thames Valley Police will receive more than £1 million to tackle the violence that has been denying too many young people their futures.
The police station in Aylesbury is on the Wendover Road
“This funding will help bring together organisations across our community to confront violent crime and address its underlying causes as well as also funding positive prevention projects amongst children and young people.
