Seventy revellers face £800 fines after boat party in Acton
MORE than 70 people have been reported for potential £800 penalties after they breached COVID regulations by attending a boat party at North Acton.
Police were called to Volt Avenue shortly after 11pm on Saturday (30) after reports of a large gathering on a moored boat.
The group was dispersed and 72 people were reported for potential fixed penalty notices for attending an indoor gathering of more than 15 people.
The organiser was reported for a possible £10,000 penalty.
Det Chief Insp Thomas Bowen said: "This was a blatant breach of the rules in place to save lives and protect the huge pressure on the NHS.
