A FORMER professional footballer from Melksham has raised a massive £14,700 for the Ben Saunders Foundation to support children and young adults with cancer across the UK.
Matthew Bound, 48, who now lives near Swansea, completed a marathon challenge called thebeastforben, which required him to run the same amount of miles each day as the day of the month.
In all, he completed a total of 465 miles running around the roads and lanes near his home on the Gower peninsula in Glamorganshire.
He finished thebeastforben with help from British Lions rugby players Ryan Jones and Shane Williams and to date has raised£14,700 for the Ben Saunders Foundation.
